All Glory, Laud, and Honor

"All glory, laud, and honor to you, Redeemer, King!"

Text: Theodulph of Orleans, tr. John Mason Neale

Tune: St. Theodulph, Melchior Teschner

Festive Processional on "All Glory, Laud, and Honor"

Congregation, SATB Choir (optional Children's Choir), Trumpet, and Organ

The introduction and interlude for trumpet and organ, as well as the choral setting of two stanzas of text not found in American hymnals, help make this hymn concertato a fresh and unique beginning of the services of Holy Week.

"This is a processional anthem of tremendous proportions, in high festive mode…Variety resides in every verse, and the whole is neatly packaged so that transitions work well and will not confuse the congregation."  — Choral Journal

When Music Wakes My Sleeping Heart

A Hymn Concertato on an Original Tune Appleton

Text: Delores Dufner, OSB

Congregation, SATB Choir, Brass Quintet, Timpani, and Organ. (May also be performed with one Trumpet and Organ.)

This hymn and setting make a great alternative to Pratt Green's When In Our Music God Is Glorified (Engleberg). Though the tune looks tricky, it's actually very easy to sing!

"Martinson's new hymn, When Music Wakes My Sleeping Heart, commissioned for the convention, was a particular highlight—full of majestic sweep and innovative harmonies."  — The American Organist
