Schedule for 2006–2007

The following list contains my current schedule of performances, premieres, and appearances over the next 12 months. Three lengthier projects in the works are:

  • An article on the use of cantors in the Episcopal liturgy for a new publication by Church Publishing, Inc.
  • A recording of mostly a cappella choral music by the Transfiguration Choir in our current church acoustics containing some accompanied works suited to our very small instrument.
  • A recording of my organ compositions made by Annette Albrecht and myself on the 3-manual Goulding & Wood organ (2003) at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Dallas. We will definitely include Organum, the work I composed for the church's two instruments.

I am very happy that we are able to host our region's premier professional early music ensemble Texas Camerata as the Transfigured Nights 2006–2007 season opener. Dedicated to performing the music of the Baroque and Classical eras with an emphasis on historical style, this group under the direction of Kristin Van Cleve presents a subscription series in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and has appeared to critical acclaim at the Boston Early Music Festival. Texas Camerata's programs combine a captivating mix of familiar and less well-known vocal and instrumental chamber music, introducing its audience to "hidden gems," while simultaneously giving fresh interpretations to familiar favorites. Joining the ensemble for a return appearance on Transfigured Nights is my good friend Ava Pine, soprano, who has recently relocated to Dallas.
